WE’RE BACK!!!!

I know it’s a little bit late but Runescape has released a running update. Back in the old Runescape, people had to wait about 5 minutes to get full energy. It also went by like a shooting star. In the new update, energy decreases much slower. That means more time to run. Jagex also made Runescape one step closer to being like a real life situation. In our lives, when we are tired, we rest eventually. Well now in Runescape, you can do the same. Go to the Right top corner and right click the foot (run button). Now select “rest”. Your player will sit down and regain energy in less then a minute. This is a great advance for both free players and members, but especially free players since members can drink potions to restore their energy.

Jagex also added a feature which allows you to regain energy even faster! If you see a musician, and you right click him and hit “rest”, you will regain your energy at about 2x the rate as if you were resting away from the musician.

In all, the update is really good and I give it a 5/5. Good job Jagex, you finally helped us with something

Have you ever been playing Runescape and realized you need to go to runetalk.wordpress.com but you didn’t wana log out? Well, Runescape has ended your inconvienience. Now, instead of your character logging out every 90 seconds when inactive, it’s a whopping 5 minutes! That enough time to read a whole quest tutorial! In further news, Runescape has released “stealing Creation”. It is a fasinating minigame which tests runecrafting, mining, cooking, woodcutting, attack, strength, defence, smithing, fishing, and construction.

OMG! Runescape released PVP! It is awsome, however, you must have 20 combat to use it. Here’s a direct message from the main website.

“PvP worlds have arrived! Are you ready to pit your combat skills against other players in the halls of the White Knights’ Castle? Are you prepared to fight to the death in the fields of Lumbridge? Well, now is your chance.

To get started, load up the game like normal (click here to read about the changes to the log-in system we’ve also released today), and then choose ‘World Select’ on the title screen. Then pick a world which has a tick in the ’skull’ column to choose a PvP world. To avoid nasty accidents, if you let the game choose a world for you automatically it will never select a PvP world. Also note that you require a Combat level of at least 20 (not including Summoning) to get into a PvP world.

Before you are logged in, you will be warned that you are entering a PvP world which is a dangerous place: you will lose your items on death and you will not get a gravestone. Upon entering the world for the first time, you’ll be teleported to Lumbridge and given a manual to explain the finer points of PvP worlds.

Here’s a quick run-down of the features:

• Fight players (within your level range) anywhere on the map, except in a few safe areas.
• Safe areas include banks, respawn points and some guilds.
• Level ranges are 10% of your Combat level, plus 5 levels. If you are fighting inside the Wilderness, the Wilderness level is added to this total. Your current attack range is shown on your screen at all times. (The 10% is measured from the higher of the two combatants’ levels.)
• Skulling is back – same rules apply. If you initiate combat, you are skulled and on death you will lose all items, with the Protect Item prayer saving one item as normal.
• Teleport Block is back in the normal spellbook.
• Some minigames are available to play, others are not – please see the Game Guide for more details.
• Death drops are back – new rules apply. Drops will be a mixture of items from the defeated opponent’s inventory and items from drop tables specific to PvP worlds. See below for details.

The quality of the drops you get when you PK someone depends on several different factors:

• To get a reward from a kill, you also have to risk some items yourself!
• To accumulate a possible reward, you have to risk a minimum of 75k of items on a members’ world, or a minimum of 25k of items on a free world.
• Note that your three most valuable items won’t count as being risked unless you’ve been skulled, as you wouldn’t lose them.
• The longer you spend on a PvP world (outside a safe area) with the required amount of items at risk, the better your possible rewards might become, to reward you for your risk.
• The possible reward increases even faster and goes to a higher maximum if you go into a ‘hot zone’.
• Note, however, that risking more than the minimum won’t improve your rewards faster, so it’s a good idea to take relatively cheap and useful items that won’t cost you too much to replace if you die.

When you get a successful kill, the exact reward you can claim depends on a number of other factors, including the level difference between you and the value of the items lost by the dying player. Any unclaimed loot is saved for the next kills, so you don’t have to worry about it being lost if you kill a low level player.

Don’t despair if you are dying a lot and losing a lot of items. The game will detect this and improve your chance of getting decent rewards when you do eventually get a good kill.

The above is a simplified description of how it all works. To prevent cheating there are various other factors taken into account. We’ve calculated the rewards and rates very carefully, so that a successful PKer should be able to get a good income, and PKers who get lucky might find themselves with a good drop. Higher level players may also get higher rewards to reflect their increased earning ability when not PKing, such that PKing is still worthwhile for them. The aim is to make PKing a fun alternative (albeit very high risk) way of earning money in the game.”

So far, the PVP is going pretty good. Also there has been a update for the “log-in” system. Here’s a quick excerpt from the Runescape Database.

“Today we’ve streamlined the way you get into the game. The aim is to help you get playing more quickly with fewer pages to go through every time. To start the game, simply click one of the two new buttons on the front page (depending on whether you’re a free player or a member). You will then be taken straight into the game. Once the game has loaded, you will be able to (optionally) choose both your world and detail level directly from the title screen.

More details on the changes made:

• World selection has now been moved entirely in game, so there is one less page to go through to start the game and you can get playing faster.
• We’ve had a world switcher in-game for a while, but since it is now the main way of choosing your world, it was time for an upgrade. The in-game world switcher now shows lots of extra information, including suggested activities for various worlds.
• Automatic world selection. Just press ‘Log in’ on the title screen, and the game will automatically choose a suitable world for you. If you want to play on a specific world, just choose it from the world switcher first, and then press ‘Log in’.
• Favourite worlds. The in-game world switcher now lets you select up to 2 worlds as your favourites. For example, you could set one favourite as your non-PvP homeworld and one as your PvP battle world. Once you have set up your favourite worlds from the world switcher, you will see extra buttons for them directly on the title screen, you can then click on those buttons to go straight to your favourite world.
• Members see less adverts. Because of the above changes, we’ve been able to remove adverts for members playing on free worlds as long as you use the ‘Members’ button on the front page to log-in – we hope you enjoy the change!
• The detail selection option has also been moved into the game. Again, this means there is one less page to go through to start the game, and gets you playing faster. This also means that you can now switch modes more easily without having to reload the game. The game will remember your last selection, so you no longer have to keep making the same choice over and over again.
• The ’safe mode’ feature is now automatic. If your game fails to load for any reason, it will detect the failure the next time you load it, and automatically activate safe mode. If you want to force safe mode, then you can still do so by pressing the ’s’ key on your keyboard while the game is loading. Safe mode has also now been adjusted to only make the minimum changes needed to get the title screen to load: if you want to change any other options you should do so yourself from the ‘Graphics Options’ menu on the title screen before logging in. Your choices will then be remembered for next time.
• Unsigned mode is automatic. We’ve removed the ‘unsigned’ option from the Java options menu. Don’t worry, you can still access the unsigned applet if you need to. We’ve made the selection process for it automatic. If the game cannot load in signed mode (either because you didn’t grant it permission, or your security settings do not allow you to grant it permission) it will fall back to the unsigned version, you don’t need to do anything for this to happen.”

So that is a must to check out It does make your Runescape experiance a LOT better. Sadly, the updates make “Quick Serve” Disabled. It no longer works. So, remember all that. Also, Runescape has earned a lot more players back because of the updates.

The most frequent request we have received over the last few months has been to put more PvP back into the game. We want to let you know that this request hasn’t gone unheard, and that we’ve put a lot of research into how we can introduce new PvP mechanisms. The aim is for PvP content that better replaces the old Wilderness, but without reintroducing RWT.

Hopefully, you’re already aware of the imminent Clan Wars release (see the September Behind the Scenes in a couple of weeks for more information), but there are also plans afoot for the most exciting and “old school” PvP update we have ever considered – unique PvP worlds.

As many of our long term players know, in the old RuneScape Classic days you could actually fight players just outside the gates of Lumbridge, before the days of duelling and even before the days of the old Wilderness itself. Players could hunt each other down, chasing them away from favourite resource points and generally “owning” large areas of the map.

So, in 2008, we will be bringing you special ‘PvP worlds’, where you can fight other players almost anywhere! In addition to all the usual content you might expect to find in RuneScape, they will also include:

• Optional sign-up – choose between PvP danger or stick to ordinary play by simply switching worlds.
• High danger with items dropped on death.
• High rewards for kills. To avoid any RWT issues the reward for a successful PK will be generated by the game, similar to when you kill a monster at the moment. We’re creating generous drop tables based on factors like your levels and the impressiveness of the kill.
• These drop tables will include “PvP world specific” items like XP-modifying gear, lvl 70+ equipment and new, glorious, short-term but hard hitting gear. These will once again make PKing a viable source of income.
• PvP across 99% of the world, including the old Wilderness.
• Attack any player within a certain level of your own. Level range depends on the area, similar to the old Wilderness levels.
• …And all sorts of other twists on interesting content… Just think of the possibilities when you can PK anywhere!

Naturally, we also have other PvP-orientated content, like Stealing Creation (a resource control game where skillers and PKers work together, creating equipment and beating up the opposition) and Mobilising Armies (a real-time strategy game where you use your hard made bows, swords, etc. to equip your own armies in 4-player battles).

Add all this to a healthy schedule of quests (featuring Arrav and the sequel to Spirit of Summer), holiday events and some unique puzzle content… and the rest of ‘08 has something for almost everyone.

Finally, we’d like to let you in on a little secret – we’re currently working on our highest level, longest, most exciting quest ever. Not necessarily for launch in ‘08 (it’s not something we want to rush, after all), it’s already had more development time than the entirety of “Recipe for Disaster”… but you’ll have to wait to find out more. We’re adding secret hints and references all the time about this one, so if you need to know more, just look around! Leave no stone unturned….”

If you don’t know what that means, Runescape is bringing the WIlderness in a few worlds!  99% of the area in thoes worlds will be the wilderness! Now, certain items will make them lose they’re itmes if they get killed, and certian items don’t.IF you are using a non-drop item, when a person dies, the game simulates a item-alot of items to drop, according to your level, they’re level, and were in the Wilderness you are. They cant do all drops, because, well, they removed the wilderness, because of RWT. So, please Real World Traders, Stay off of Runescape. Why would you want Runescape stuff rather than real stuff?

Hey guys, I have came up with a fantastic idea. It is for you players, who want to get into world 1 or 2, or any world but they are full.With Quick Serve, you can aqccses any world at anytime and it is NOT breaking ANY Rules of Runescape!

Ok i found this great new game called maginogi on nexxon.com, there is no paying unless you want to shop in the nexxon mall, but you can most items in game anyways. You get to choose your characters appearence with like 30 hairstyles, a bunch of colors, and a bunch of clothes. you can also choose your age, ages 10 to 17, you die at 25,you age 1 year every saturday. lower stats when your a kid, but if you kill something like a bear when your a kid you get recognized by people. Not the best graphics, not as good as RS new graphics, but stil good.  there is fishing, mining, cooking, etc. The characters are chibi(small, big headed, cute) when are young but get tall and attractive when older, like in real life. when you die, you dont ahve to die. if you raise enough money to get a reborn card then you get to get your stats and  items back after you die. try it out, tis a download at nexon.com

(note: if in the installer it freezes at number 0% or 95%, wait about 5 minutes and it will start again. I suggest watching a little television while doing this.)

WOW, is all I have to say about Runescape right now. They really “broke the barrier”. The only bad thing about the update is for today, and probaly about 2 more days, the G.E. is malfunctining, and some world are of-line. Another problem is that when you first use the new feature, it takes about 5-10 min to load, however, it will go back to normal speed, as your computer adjusts to the new update. Now here are some cool things!!!

The start-screen (when you type www.runescape.com) looks awesome! Every screen is different, even the login-screen. You may also turn off updates, or change what you want to be on/off with the updates, in the log in screen. A cool thing for members is, if you are using HIGH DETAIL (NOT LOW DETAIL) , you have an option for full-screen. So go and check it out, and I will post more about it later.

Oh yeah, and the actual game looks fan-hackin’-sweet!!!!

I am now informed that Runescape has a lot of different things for the update. For one, because if you have a small video card, and a small amount of RAM (Memory), or a small hard-drive, you will lag like mad, and most likely, it WILL crash your computer. Runescape has made the update OPTIONAL. I have also heard you must download it, however I am NOT sure.

Hey guys! A few things will be covered in this post! For one, I am in ALOT better mood lately, so i will be posting more and more.

Also, I am not dead, even though posts have been slow, they are all coming in soon!

My game, has NOT be touched lately, since I have had a tight schedule, since it’s been VERY nice, so i am going to finish it soon.

Also, I am getting a new system set-up for Runetalk, which will help with saving archives. Instead of me writing the post name, I will also put a dash, and the date. I will start with this post.

Now, for the real stuff. I have been hearing A LOT of people, saying Runescape is a bad game, just for the bad graphics matter. Well Runescape has now acknowledged this, and is making SERIOUS Changes. Here is a list of things.

Runescape will give members a very cool new advantage, as they will have a full screen window. The lighting will be a lot better, helping the game look better. Many people are saying, “Runescape may become good again” and “Runescape has died, but it’s brother is reborn”. Also, Runescape will give you a list of options (inventory, spells, ect.) to chose from, all on the bottem of the screen. Luckily, you can switch most of the updates on/off. Firstly, I am noticing, a lot of people STOPPED coming to this blog. Our views, went from about 30 a day, to about 15  a day. I am EXTREAMLY disappointed. Next, I am  VERY proud to be releasing a demo of my NEWEST game, Maze Tastrophy V1. I am however, NOT putting the demo up for sale, due to the chances of copying at it’s youngest age. The original version of it, will be released on June 5th 2008. that’s 17 days. The game, challenges a lot of your thinking ability, such as thoughts, power, movement, speed, and much more. If I can, i will get Mazy Tastrophy V2 Demo up on here. That demo WILL be released to the public on September 21st, 2008.

Were going green in 2 ways! for one, on about December 25th 2007, i asked Macafee to test runetalk. I forgot all about that! I havn’t been on lately, but I did catch a update. Rs updated some music and gave a one time chance for everyone. There is a new song and a new emotion you can get For A While. I will get you guyz the emotion how-to and what not, when i get runescape running. If ever….

I am having a hard decision on what to spend my last 50$ on..i cannot spend it on rated M games such as Half life 2 or garry’s mod (dang) i can spend it on some online games, or a wii/gamecube game…what can or should I get? i have a few choices

blockland:20$:online download: a contruction game online where you get to build a house, movie theater, traps, create and ride in vechiles, create mazes and minigames, fight, and do just about anything, especially with mods people make such as star wars, RTB AiO pack,  and halo mod (btw, this is a “lego” contruction game) and it has some physics such as when a person is shot backwards, a jeep explodes, or when you crash wile skiing…oh yeah, you probably dont know wat RTB AiO is, its a big pakc with tons of new weapons, clothing,  building bricks, and java scripts such as elevator and trip wire. its like 2x the original game with mods. RTB: AiO stands for return to blockland : all in one pack     next up is…

Zelda twilight princes:50$ or so:wii: im in to swords and bows and stuff, and, why not for the wii. if this gmae has multiplayer, that would be very awesome but i dont think it does, i do not have an action reply that i can edit this game wiht, and i have all the time in the world on my hands right now

I am being hunted by the guards, they are saying I have no life and should just die. I disagree…I am seeking revenge towards my brother, for that memory i still posess. He killed my mother, my father, and my entire clan… Him and I are the only ones left of the Zarroc clan… I still seek why I lost my memory, and who I really am, why I exist…Do I have a purpose?…Sorry…I cannot go on, I must be quick. I am planning to hide in Varrock sewers for a while, but I am still in Lumbridge, and I hear that soldiers heavily guard Varrock’s gates. first you go to taverly(north of faldore), then you go a little east. when u finaly see a quest symble, you do the quest. i cannot show it on here since when i made the tutorial my computer crashed. It’s really packed there, it will be for the next week or two.

second, after you are done the quest, you will get 275 gold charms. you take 2 of them, 14 spirit shards, 2 wolf bones, and 2 puch for summoning, then go downstairs of the place you made your first wolf pouch. now you click the obilisk one time. next you click the  wolf pouch button. you make two of these. then you click it again. now this time you will click the scroll creation tab. now you will click the wolf scroll button. you chose the diffrent animals by looking at the bones and stuff.

now, you go were u want to fight, and then you right click your wolf pouch. you now hit summon. now your animal will apear. you go to the animal button on the far left bottem corner and you fight. if you fight someone or something, you can hit the whistle and he will fight too.

when it sazys, you ahve 1 minute before your animal dies (not exactly thoes words but something like that), you hit the blue arrows on your summoning circle, that’s on the right corner next to the map. he will revive, but u can only do it once before you recharge. 

if you go to the Yanellie pet shop, you can buy pets, however u must b the right summoning level to have the pet.

The Runetalk Team cannot wait for summoning! it is sapposed to be a new skill and i, josepman, cannot wait. this is the new skill that will make runescape give us a skill dropdown bar! you know, the bar that lets you scroll down. and that means the skill blocks will get bigger! well, that’s part of my happieness. XD

and thanks to Runelord, i learned they might open a pet shop in rs. it is going to have more then jsut cats, dogs! it will be in Yanellie, however it might just be a viewing pleasure. they do have a petshop in the desert, but you can only view them animals, and kill the camals XD

Joseph3112 is back. I am at level 10 wilderness. That thing was a dragon, level 9570!!! One hit from him took 61/62 of my health! sadly i have to leave this journal entry short. I see about 74 cops north east, 17 north west, 194 north, 188 west, 200 south, 100 east, 134 south west, and 99 to the south east. Wait, a cop is coming my way, I better hide… Oh no, not another dragon. Wait, it is alot of cops disqised as a dragon! Or maby not! Hiiiiiiiiiiiiiiideeeeeeee!!!

My name is Joseph3112, I am tired strike that, Very tired. I was said to have had cancer, but I broke out of that hostpital before they gave me Chemo therapy. that would SUCK! I am heading to level 10- wilderness, but it is very hard. Since the law is after me, I must be very sneaky. Gaurds are after me at every corner. luckily they are level 20, I’m level 73. I have a Dragon BattleAxe, plaque cloths since the hospital cloths were covered in plaque, i had to steal anti-plaque cloths. The people here are quit strange and are VERY tall. they seem to be cops, however, I think i can make my way. I will first go to level 10 wilderness, then I will check back into my journal. woah! a big beast just jumped towards me! what was that? oh, it was just a…. I better stop writting right now, because I think i’m in alot of trouble…

Assist System Guide By Blackness (Formely known as Runelord)

What is assist?

Assist is a way you can take advantage of others levels, for example if you have a construction level of 20 and you wanted to make a combat arena you must have a level 32 construction to do, req assist with a player that has 32+ construction and you will need to have the materials, you will build it, but you dont get the XP the player that is giving you assist will gain the XP 

Using assist 

First you must require assist

This icon  will apper in the bottom right corner to show that you are being assisted.

The person assisting you will have this display come up.

Tell them what skill you want to be  assisted in (eg: Smithing) They will click on it

They will stay in this display while you take advantage of there level.
